Out-of-pocket expenses (gap cover)
Some procedures may involve a gap (out-of-pocket). The details of these costs will be discussed with you prior to any treatment.
Medicare
We will need your Medicare details and a referral letter from your doctor, for you to get the Medicare rebate for the consultation fees. If you are uninsured, you can choose to be put on the waiting list in the public system for a procedure, at no charge to yourself.
Overseas Patients
If you are an overseas patient and do not have Medicare coverage, you will be given a quote for the consultation fees and also for any procedure that you may need.
Consultation and in-room investigation and procedures fees
You can claim part of the consultation fees back from Medicare. There are reduced rates available for Pensioners and Health Care card holders. Veteran’s Affairs Gold Card holders will be fully covered by the DVA.
Some in-room investigations such as a uroflow study (voiding test with bladder scan), education sessions (e.g., teaching intermittent self-catheterisation) and procedures (e.g., catheter changes, urodynamics) may incur additional fees.
We accept cash, cheque and major credit card payments.
Note: All consultation and in-room fees are payable on the day of service
